A 13-year-old girl who was reported missing in the region has been located, authorities announced.
Rensselaer County resident Francis Jett, of Troy, had last been seen Thursday, Nov. 17, leaving Knickerbocker Middle School in Lansingburgh, the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office said.
On Tuesday, Nov. 22, police said Jett had been found safe and returned home.
“We would like to thank you all for your help and the post shares,” the Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook.

Police are asking for help locating a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing in the region.
Rensselaer County resident Francis Jett, of Troy, was last seen Thursday, Nov. 17, leaving Knickerbocker Middle School in Lansingburgh, walking north on 107th Street, the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office said.
The teen is known to frequent South Troy and may possibly be trying to travel to North Carolina to see family, according to police.
Jett is described as a Black female standing 5-feet-2-inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
Police said she was last seen wearing a multi-colored camo coat with gray sweatpants, green sneakers, and a light pink hoodie.
